ANDREW CUOMO AND HIS MISFIT HELPERS

America’s Media darling, New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo was praised for his outstanding leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020.  He held countless press conferences using Power Point presentations and sucked up hours of social media coverage usually an hour or two before Trump’s Covid White House briefings.  All the while, the Governor was herding sick and dying elderly patients into nursing homes instead of utilizing the specialized Covid facilities supplied to him by the Trump administration.  If that wasn’t bad enough, he wrote his own biography touting his greatness while the people of New York suffered through lockdowns, increasing crime, and a failing economy. Nonetheless, Governor Cuomo was being groomed by the left as a possible presidential candidate in 2024.  

But…Karma is a bitch. 

On August 3, 2021, the State of New York’s Attorney General, Lettia James announced the findings of a report by an independent investigation that Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women from 2013 through 2020.  One of the Governor’s accusers is Lindsey Boylan. 

What Role Did the Media Play? 

As stated in the New Republic,  

“According to a recent investigation by the New York attorney general’s office, a Facebook communications manager named Dani Lever, who previously worked in Cuomo’s press operation, played a major role in suppressing the recent allegations against the governor. 

Shortly after the allegations came to light, Cuomo’s communications director Rich Azzopardi sent Boylan’s personnel file to multiple journalists. Investigators claim that Azzopardi’s decision to share confidential information about Boylan was an attempt to “discredit and disparage” her. 

Lever allegedly helped Cuomo’s staffers share and spread the files, despite working at Facebook for some time.” 

By this time, Andrew Cuomo’s hair is on fire.  In jumps Andrew’s Brother Chris Cuomo, famously known as the anchor on one of CNN’s many sinking ship shows, to the rescue.  Chris offers his brotherly love and assists in the drafting of Andrew’s response to the sexual harassment scandal.  Chris has the power to influence and use his position at CNN to throw water on his brother’s dumpster fire. 

After a brief spanking from his boss, Jeff Zucker, Chris apologized on the air and said it “wouldn’t happen again”. Shortly after, Chris announced that he is taking “a week-long birthday vacation”, pre-planned of course. 

Democrats and Their Sinking Ship 

So why is it that Andrew Cuomo can fall into a puddle of mud and come out smelling like a rose?  The Democrats know they haven’t any candidates in their corner that can hit the stage swinging and possibly beat former President Trump if he decides to run again in 2024, and they will probably continue their support in an attempt to do damage control. It looks bad all the way around and Andrew Cuomo is now damaged goods. There is no doubt New Yorkers are a special breed, but it looks like the New York tough guys may not be that tough after all.
