In another shocking revelation of how Dr. Fauci – the Chief Medical Advisor to President Biden and the director of the NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) – thinks regarding the constitutional liberties Americans enjoy particularly when it comes to how they react to his demands about what they should do during the current COVID-19 pandemic, Anthony Fauci made it clear that he believes Americans should give up their constitutional protection.

Moreover, Dr. Fauci made a declaration- that most Americans find unsettling- while delivering a presentation to an audience in an education institution located on foreign land. Specifically, he made this declaration while delivering an address to McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Luckily, his comments were obtained by conservative media here in the United States and Americans know what he said about their freedoms.

After his speech which was delivered via Livestream, Dr. Fauci attended a question and answer session where he was asked for his opinion regarding the notion of individual freedom in contrast to the problems currently posed by the pandemic currently encompassing the world.  His response not only shed light on his political philosophy but also angered libertarians and conservatives here in the United States.

Dr. Fauci’s Statements

Fauci also instructed his audience that when it boils down to global pandemics such as the Covid-19, that all countries across the globe are currently battling, Unites States citizens have to surrender their personal liberties. Additionally, he stressed his point adding that there should be no doubt his opinion should be the case.

During the question and answer session, Dr. Fauci also bashed right-leaning media outlets including Fox News. Moreover, he took the opportunity to bash individual freedom, saying that vaccination is a personal responsibility towards other people.  “I think what Americans have to understand, that indeed they have personal liberties for themselves and they should be in control of that” Dr. Fauci began. “However, you are also a member of society, and since you are enjoying all the advantages associated with being a member of society, you also have a personal responsibility to that society.”

I think everybody, especially in the context of a global pandemic that is killing millions of people, it’s important to look at it and say, ‘Sometimes people have to give up what they consider their individual right of making their own decisions for the greater good of the society they are a part of,’” he explained.

“There’s no doubt that that is the case,” Dr. Fauci added.

Fauci later explained saying that vaccination is important because unvaccinated people “innocently” and “inadvently” transmit the corona virus to people who are susceptible to hospitalization or even death.

He compared unvaccinated people to a person dangerously driving 95 mph on a highway.

“If I get hurt, that is my problem. No! it is somebody who you might kill’s problem too” Dr. fauci Added.

Earlier in the question and answer session, Fauci said people who are opposed to the COVID-19 vaccine should be persuaded to get vaccinated by “trusted messengers” suggesting sports figures, family members, and clergymen.

During an interview on “Face the Nation” Sunday, Dr. Fauci said it is too soon to tell whether Americans should get together for Christmas. He also praised California Governor Gavin Newsom, who last week made an announcement that it will be a requirement for all California students age 12 years and above to be vaccinated.

Dr. Fauci implied other states should follow Gavin’s lead. He added that we’ve been seeing this trend for decades and added that his own children would not have got to school had they not been vaccinated for rubella, mumps and measles.
