Should School Children Pledge Allegiance to the Pride Flag?

The immediate answer should be a resounding “no!” But this does not seem to be the answer for many people. Common sense seems to be lacking in this topsy turvy world. A teacher posted a video on the video platform TikTok recently. It raised a bit of a buzz because it showed a teacher suggesting that she lets students pledge to the pride flag instead of the American Flag.

Teachers are Now Saying to Pledge to the Pride Flag Instead of the American Flag?

The teacher, identified as Kristin Pritzen, was teaching at a school named Newport Mesa School District in Orange County. She posted the video and noted that she hid the American flag from her students so that the students could not pledge allegiance to it. In addition to this, she also stated that this made her feel more comfortable.

Pitzen said “”OK, so during third period, we do announcements and they do the Pledge of Allegiance,” via her TikTok account, @mrsgillingsworth, which, now has ceased to exist. “I always tell my class, ‘Stand if you feel like it, don’t stand if you feel like it, say the words if you want. You don’t have to say the words.’ So my class decided to stand but not say the words. Totally fine. Except for the fact that my room does not have a flag.”

She noted, in the video, that her room does not have an American flag because she removed it during the height of COVID-19 event. She noted that the American Flag makes her feel uncomfortable. Now, bear in mind, she lives in the United States of America, works here, and teaches children in the United States of America.

If she feels uncomfortable due to the flag that represents the United States of America, you know, principles like freedom, liberty, justice, the American Dream, and more, then where does she feel comfortable? Does she feel comfortable with the ISIS flag? Is she fine with Chinese Flag? Apparently, she is fine with the pride flag.

She noted in the video.

“But, my kid today goes, ‘Hey, it’s kind of weird that we just stand and we say it to nothing,'” Pitzen said.

“In the meantime, I tell this kid, ‘We do have a flag in the class that you can pledge your allegiance to.’ And he like looks around and goes, ‘Oh, that one?'” she said, pointing to the rainbow Pride flag and laughing.

People found it very upsetting due to the attitude of the teacher. Moreover, the users on the social media application also said that the teacher is trying to impose her will on the students.

The truth is that it is far from funny.

Tiktok, however, has mixed reviews about the teacher. Some people have regarded her as disrespectful and unpatriotic, but shouldn’t the majority consider her as unpatriotic? More individuals seem to forget the reasons why the United States exists and the fact that there is no other country like it.

Her school leadership took a lukewarm stand in this situation. The school has stated that they don’t usually intervene in employee matters, but one has to respect and honor the country’s flag, whether teachers, employees, or students.

This is surprising. Usually, in the age woke politics, schools tend to go in the woke direction. It looks there are still some leaders in schools that have some spine when standing up for what is clearly necessary. The school has placed the teacher on leave and she is suspended at the time of this writing.

How Many Teachers are Like Pitzen?

The problem is that Pitzen, the teacher, is far from being an anomaly, more teachers have been proven to push a more woke agenda.

It is no wonder why people like Megyn Kelly are pulling their children out of school. They want to ensure that they are not sending their children to a place where they are learning the opposite of what they need to learn. More parents are realizing that they need to invest in ensuring that their children are raised in a healthy environment, where children are not exposed to various types of insane propaganda.

The Pledge of Allegiance

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

The issue is that in a time where brothers are arguing over COVID-19 vaccines and murdering one another over it, and when critical race theory is spread in schools splitting people apart, and when more socialist policies continue to reign, the latter part of the pledge, “the one nation under God” part seems to be in significant jeopardy.
