Smollet Found Guilty

Sentry hill, sentryhill,sentryhill. Com,

In 2019, actor Jussie Smollett, who is gay, accused brothers Abimbola Osundairo and Olabingo Osundairo of hate crimes against him. All the three men knew one another well, having worked together on the set of Empire, a TV drama.

As a jury was hearing the case of 12 over a period of around a week, the world was wondering: Did Smollett actually lie to the court as alleged, or is this a case of double victimization?

Most thinking people realized that this was a hoax and a scam; others, like Kamala Harris and the current President, fell for it.

While that shows another example of incompetence and idiocy in the current administration, choosing to be politically correct over looking at the realities, it also shows the level of incompetence and narrative pushed by the current media.

The case is now concluded, and Smollett has lost the case. According to the jury, Jussie Smollett lied on five counts. Those who had called out Smollet as a liar early on would have been crucified due to the current political climate. An African American that’s also gay? That’s as close to an unicorn as a liberal can get. As such, Smollett could do no wrong, he’s part of the protected class of the LGBTQ+@$-%* community.

The Simple Breakdown of What Happened in the Smollet Case

On January 29th, 2019, Abimbola Osundairo and Olabingo Osundairo were caught on surveillance cameras attacking Smollett, who later used the footage as court evidence against the Osundairo brothers.

The prosecution told the court that the two men attacked Jussie Smollet because he was gay; and they also despised him because of his race.

From the recordings of the cameras, one of the accused could be heard invoking the MAGA label, which was extremely popular with supporters of President Trump at the height of the presidential campaigns.

What is fascinating here is that Smollet went ahead and made this farce out to be as cinematic as possible, directing it to so that he would gain more notoriety. He felt that he could capitalize on his current level of fame and gain more by fanning the flames of race politics plus gay hate. If he could pull it off, everything would be in his favor, he could likely be present in more films, obtain more impressions,

Accused in the Smollet Case Say It Is Not What It Looks Like

The attack on Smollett took place on an early morning close to his home in Chicago’s downtown, and although it appears vicious enough to elicit public anger, the accused reckon the incident is actually not what it appears to be.

In their defense, they claim their actions were actually designed by the alleged victim, who had paid them $3,500 to fake the attack.

According to their explanation, Smollett had directed them to participate in the hoax that he wanted to be posted on social media, which involved putting some noose around his own neck and roughing him up.

The attack, as allegedly agreed, also included punching Smollet hard, but not seriously enough to bruise him. It also involved one of the brothers pouring bleach on Smollett’s clothing.

The Verdict in the Smollett Case

This case had been brought to a close in 2019 after 3 weeks of investigation, when the investigators concluded Smollett was not a victim.

Nevertheless, in 2020 Chicago got a new prosecutor, Mr. Webb, he revived the case.

He charged Smollett with disorderly behavior under six counts, which basically indicated that Smollett had lied to law enforcement officers on fundamental facts of the case. On December 9th 2021, the court found Jussie Smollett guilty of five of those counts.

Although the law allows for imprisonment of up to 3yrs, it is generally thought Smollett might get away with community service and some period on probation. Earlier in 2019, he had also been forced to forfeit $10,000 he had submitted as bond, for wasting resources of the office of the prosecutor.
